        I just thought I would pass on best wishes from Mahlerei, who asked me do convey them to you all. Unfortunately, the eye operatrion he had a few weeks ago he is having difficulty in adapting to his current situation but he remains still rather busy, which isn't too bad!

            I've been searching Watford on googleearth for signs of an ice-cream van, but no!

              This is sad news, Bbm - please pass on my very best wishes to him for a full and speedy recovery when next you are in contact.

                Yes best wishes to Mahlerei from me too, also gamba has been absent since the last message on the 4th.

                I hope it's just that cello that's keeping you busy gamba.

                  What's happened to our old friend, Daring Tripod? He had some health issues and then disappeared. Hopefully OK.

                  Uncle Monty also quiet of late.

                    Delighted to report that Mahlerei turned up on Twitter some months ago and posts links to his excellent reviews for MusicWeb International.

                            Other old friends missing from the BBC days:

                            Le Tombeau de Cooperman (renowned for his spoofs of BBC memoranda);
                            ForestChav (unrivalled knowledge of organ music and organists).

                            Not forgetting the ladies:
                            Lady Dover Hypen Sole;
                            Dame Fanny Moody

                              There was also a poster who wrote very eloquently whose name I forget, but it had 'segolene' in it somewhere. I think he left to go yachting over a year ago.....

                                I miss pianopeter on here as we both shared an enthusiasm for Eduard Tubin's music. I remember he had difficulty logging on to this site initially. I do have some contact details for him, so can try and leave a message for him.
