As do I. Difficult to believe that it is now over a year since his passing.

I always think about his very kind and thoughtful responses to any questions I posed requiring more experienced and learned guidance - however seemingly elementary and simple they were. He treated everyone with respect and courteousness, and never ever with a trace of anything but genuine interest and a wish to help. A very kind men, he was, I'm sure.

I miss Chris Newman more than ever these days

I'm afraid our software wished him a happy birthday on June 1st, but fortunately the email bounced. He would have been 67. I never deleted his account because that makes it virtually impossible to track the posts, should one wish to.

Do miss Roehre - one of the few people here whose knowledge frightens me - just when I'm most pleased with my own comments, along he'll come and say - that's not quite accurate...there was one earlier symphony before that...

I exchanged PMs with Roehre a few weeks ago and he told me that he is working abroad helping a friend out with a project and that he hoped to be back among us by mid-June. He thanks everyone for their good wishes & looks forward to re-joining us
