The Voice kept saying "10 Hours Waiting Time....".

I was taken through to observation inside an hour. Writhing in pain in the wheelchair or on the floor, saying, "I've got to lie down...!" might have had something to do with it, but I wonder what the consultant's letter said....

But I'll never forget the relief when I was finally laid on the trolley.... nil-by-mouth, hooked up to drips (saline, potassium, glucose, multinutrients...), blood-tested every other hour...... suddenly I had all the attention I'd lacked for so, so painfully long. I couldn't stop crying.
Over the span of a week up on the ward, I began to learn to eat again. This is still difficult but I keep going, knowing the dangers of malnutrition, dehydration and kidney damage (thankfully restored) if I don't....

The root causes of la nausée (after almost any food or drink intake) remain mysterious; probably a bad reaction to yet another antibiotic (I really don't get on with them) along with the longterm atrial fibrillation.....there's a neurological aspect to this as well (TBC).... so it is about management rather than cure (I sometimes struggle with the concept of incurability....).
Ondansetron has been helpful, but like so many drugs it seems to be less effective over time.
I had missed this before. I hope that you are doing better Jlw

It’s been 4 days since BBM posted in Facebook, and he rarely misses a day there

I hope he will be able to join us again before too long; I know he does not have the best of health so his absence is a worry. My thoughts are also with Mrs BBM - it's very hard for those who can only watch and wait.

I would await his pithy remarks with expectant gladness.

                            Very sad news indeed.

Heartfelt sympathies to his nearest and dearest

His passion for music and his genial and enthusiastic presence will be greatly missed hereabouts
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

When I'd mentioned my own ill health or depression Tim would send me a private message of support, and to share that wonderful, enriching love of music that brings us all together here in our discoveries, our mutual and divergent passions. It can't be the same without him; but continue we must in finding our meanings in what we try to do.

Farewell to the Maestro! You brought goodness and joy and music to the world.....
