Guests no longer have accounts; their status is no different from that of people who have never joined. If anyone wants to rejoin, they have to open a new account. JK is a Full Member in good standing and according to his profile his last activity on the board was this morning.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Joseph K last post was actually on the 10th. He has PM'd me yesterday to say he does not think it likely that he will be posting on the forum for the foreseeable future.

That’s correct. However, ‘activity’ on the forum also includes browsing, which JK has been doing today.

Well, if JK has been browsing and he reads this, I hope that he will start posting again - and move forward from whatever seismic clashing of tectonic plates happened last week, forum-wise (it passed me by). I am sure that I am not the only forumista who misses his thoughtful and always interesting contributions. I, for one, want to know if he’s got to the end of the DG Stravinsky box!

I, too, am sorry that JK found it necessary to withdraw from contributing here. However, I fully respect that decision, given the circumstances that gave rise to it.

                A great pity.

Seconded - but there's no hurry. He may have other issues he needs to sort out before worrying about this forum.

Agreed. Strange how people react. I, as a few of you know, have a few medical problems but I count this Forum, as one of my five a day.

I like that idea. I can add that to my list - Bounty bars (contain coconuts), Terry's chocolate orange, fermented grape juice, potato crisps (potatoes are a natural product, aren't they? ....) ....

It has always seemed to me that by the very nature of this Forum we are probably going to have far more in common than might divide us. Unanimity would clearly make for blandness and, as with music, some discord can add welcome spice.

Witness the comments about Prom 17. We all heard more or less the same thing (those of us not in the RAH), acknowledging differences in equipment used to do so, but formed very different opinions, which led to discussion.

Has anybody heard anything from Pabmusic? Recent news of severe weather devastating areas of the Philippines has been worrying.
