Originally posted by ferneyhoughgeliebte View PostMany, many thanks for all the best wishes from everybody. I had a similar operation on the other eye 18 monthsa ago, and, like that, there is no pain at all in the eye itself (a bit scratchy/itchy at times, but hardly "painful"). The difference this time was that I had to undergo a "positioning" regime - which meant keeping in one position with my eye pointing downwards at the floor for several days, moving as little as possible - which caused much discomfort in my shoulders and neck. And then there's the faff of the eyedrop regime, which continues til the middle of the month. I have no effective vision in the eye itself, so I'm relying on the healthy one - and, when I had the eye shield on, I couldn't put my glasses on, so could see even less.
The real annoyance was that I've had to miss four concerts I had tickets for - I'm just hoping I'll still be able to get to The Mask of Orpheus at the end of the month, otherwise I'll be offering a spare ticket
Public thanks to the magnificent Hosts for their terrific support and work keeping things runnijng smoothly over the past fortnight - I'll still be keeping in the background for the next couple of weeks, but hope to be able to start contributing a bit more from now on.
Thanks again, everyone - the comments were a great support.
All the best with your recovery. :daff2::daff2::daff2:
