    Good question.

Ferney left the keys under the mat, we're taking it in turns to pop in....

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Many, many thanks for all the best wishes from everybody. I had a similar operation on the other eye 18 monthsa ago, and, like that, there is no pain at all in the eye itself (a bit scratchy/itchy at times, but hardly "painful"). The difference this time was that I had to undergo a "positioning" regime - which meant keeping in one position with my eye pointing downwards at the floor for several days, moving as little as possible - which caused much discomfort in my shoulders and neck. And then there's the faff of the eyedrop regime, which continues til the middle of the month. I have no effective vision in the eye itself, so I'm relying on the healthy one - and, when I had the eye shield on, I couldn't put my glasses on, so could see even less.

The real annoyance was that I've had to miss four concerts I had tickets for - I'm just hoping I'll still be able to get to The Mask of Orpheus at the end of the month, otherwise I'll be offering a spare ticket

Public thanks to the magnificent Hosts for their terrific support and work keeping things runnijng smoothly over the past fortnight - I'll still be keeping in the background for the next couple of weeks, but hope to be able to start contributing a bit more from now on.

Thanks again, everyone - the comments were a great support.

Of all the restrictions that I see patients have to endure after Surgery , the restrictions after eye surgery would drive me the battiest.
