No-one seems to have news of sigolene [message 1] I hope she is safe and well. She was always sailing off in her yacht to distant parts. ?????

Just as I've learned that you don't ask about what happened to Hornspieler

Dear am51, you remind me of Pavlov's dogs in some situations. Woof woof. Get a life.

wilf never had any interest in posting anywhere except on BBC messageboards. So it was sadly predictable that he wouldn't want to join us . A mysterious figure - the more I learned about him, the less I knew
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

He posted just 2 messages, but was given a very warm welcome. I recall his announcement of acquiring his 56th recording of Sibelius 2. [That's 30 more than I have (to date) of Strauss's Alpine Symphony.]

Just before R3 closed down the old boards, and shortly after I started posting, Smittims announced he was giving up posting to give him more time for other pursuits. He did say he might drop in occasionally, but I havent spotted him on this forum. Pity, judging from my brief sampling of his posts, he was a mine of information in a subject that interests me (classical LPs). FF, do we know if he has in fact discovered this forum?

I'd like to wish smittims all the best if he does drop in. He could be very interesting and had a good sense of humour, sometimes well hidden. I hope he is well.

No, but I think he has probably given up the internet. The email address we had for him bounced last time a newsletter went out.

                          A newsletter?

                          There's a newsletter?

Crossword puzzles, recipes, pix of board members on their hols, favourite remedies for gout?

Well, I don't like to push it, but it is open to anyone that says they support our views on the way Radio 3 is going
