BaxofDelights isn't on here much these days either? His last comment,(I think was on the Moeran sketches thread)?

Any word from StephenO or Uncle Monty, FF?

A pity when valued contributors leave. Hope both are OK.

Uncle popped back some weeks ago to say he was v. busy. So I assume he still is. StephenO was less of a regular poster.

But people do drop out when they find other things to do. I'm never quite sure that it's kind to try to coax them back
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Nothing from Freddie Campbell for some time and no reply so far to my PM to Daring Tripod.

With due respect to everyone, how do some people get their usernames? {Without giving away personal details}.

            Absent Friends

I don't wish to alarm anyone, but I notice that our esteemed member, Peter Katin has not posted anything since December last year.

            Does anyone have any news?

And who else has gone missing lately?

Beef Oven has been silent for a day or so and is currently in Hungary according to his profile. I hope he's managed to dodge this lot or at least to reach higher ground with a stash of Curly Wurlies

I still think of smittims as an absent friend and wonder whether anyone has news of him.

I was surprised and pleased one day when he said/wrote "That's another thing we have in common saly".

He could be tricky and bad tempered, but who can't at times? Hope he's ok.

Seconded saly... (I seconded the Beefy motion on another thread!)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I seem to remember that he had health problems and wanted to devote more time to reading and listening to Music. I hope he's well, and savouring Eliot, Proust, Tolstoy, Pope, Beowulf and all the other boys in the band.

                          That'd be a hell of a gig...

But has anyone heard anything from Third Vienna School? He went on holiday about three months ago - I hope he's being kept busy by his twelve-note pop tunes and not anything shittiful, but I do miss his unique blend of barminess enlivened by comments of quite outstanding intellectual perception.
