Great fortitude on your part, Maestro. So sorry to hear it was necessary to call upon it just before all the celebrations. Good to hear you feel you're on the mend now
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
Just in case any of you have missed me, I not been able to be on here. Last Friday, I had a fall, in the early hours. Had to wait three hours for the ambulance to arrive, which is not too bad. Arrived at A & E around 6am. All in all very good how they dealt with me. Then I picked up a bug, probably whilst on the floor, waiting for the ambulance. Today is the fist day I’ve felt like “normal”.
Unlucky you. Still, at least you did not need the Police to break open your front door for the paramedics to get to you (http://www.for3.org/forums/showthrea...405#post479405). Hoping you do not experience extended resulting problems with your already somewhat limited mobility.

God speed your recovery Bbm...
I had to call an ambo around 0500 in November.... it came within 15 minutes.... I (literally) crawled to the door to wrestle it open. When we got to A&E around 0600, there were three people waiting in the wide open spaces......
Scanned and examined swiftly, back in the Obs Ward for the second time in a month (own room, en suite bathroom, cushy....perk of no other beds available...) a nurse told me that by 1500, A&E had been temporarily closed for overcrowding....for the second day running....

I won't be alone in welcoming you back to the forum after having gone through such bad patches during the past year, jayne. Fervent wishes for your healing and hopefully a return to strength in 2023.
