Good to see you post, even if only a fleeting visit. I really just want to thank you for the various posts about DAWs and Midi as well as notation software which have pushed me to investigate aspects of music and music technology which I didn’t know much about before. For me this is on-going, and I have found it very stimulating, though sometimes challenging.

Best wishes to you. Keep safe.

I’m in self monitoring mode now. Post antebiotics. Any symptoms coming up again, straight to A & E.

Alerted to the concern by teamsaint, I now feel bad that I didn't post a message saying that I was taking time out, hopefully only for a while.
I'm staying safe and relatively sane, but this is my first time even looking at the forum, let alone logging in, for a while.
Sadly, it was becoming addictive and I needed a detox from daily events (news etc, including threads on this forum; yes, I know I should have ignored the ones that were getting to me!) so thought that a clean break would do me good!

Happy to be contacted by PM if anything specific crops up.

My two activities (volunteer work at a primary school and singing in a choir) are off the agenda for the foreseeable, which makes me very sad!

Best wishes to all, and thanks for the concern.
Apologies again for not being more considerate.

Best wishes to you and yours too. I'm relieved to hear that you are well, as I'm sure we all are.

Having done a similar thing, it seemed to me back in February that it would be unnecessarily dramatic to make an "announcement", especially given that I'm in touch with a number of members through various other channels anyway so that there wouldn't be any suspicion that anything was wrong as such. And then the pandemic took over: it's been disastrous for many people of course, and on the other hand a welcome break for others (a poet friend of mind furloughed from his day job - and for a while afflicted with the virus too - told me he'd been enjoying spending his days at home writing for a change), but for me it has meant a considerably increased workload in all areas, so something had to go! I haven't been ill (so far!) but I've been trying to implement a carpe diem frame of mind almost as if I had been.

Have we now lost Joseph K?
                              I hope not.
