If my memory is right, he kinda lost the plot and posted some really iffy posts. He was, in my opinion, going through a bad episode. I'm sure even he'd accept he needed to be canned.

Don't get me wrong, the bloke hacked me off big style and I'd have happily clumped him! But, the forum's less without him.

His account was deleted after several warnings for the same reason that he was banned from r3ok: homophobic comments.

No one was asking about other forums, or comparisons thereto - just why he was banned from this forum.

If, and I repeat - if - the reason for a ban was due to homophobic comments, then banning, in my opinion is the only course of action possible.

For, example racist or sexist comments on these boards would not be tolerated (and very possibly could constitute a crime as indeed, could homophobic comments)

So, it is only correct that these boards cannot and should not be seen as being in any way tolerant of possible criminal behaviour. To say nothing of offensive and insulting comments directed at fellow-posters.

It's only that I haven't actually seen anything "in writing" stating that the blatant homophobic comments were the reason - not that I have been looking, but I'm pretty sure the reason is written somewhere..... and I don't like to state something as hard fact unless I can back it up.


as a PS; I'm not saying that there is any doubt that such comments were made - they certainly were - some aimed at me, just the official reason (almost a formality, in fact!)

Yes, we know why he was red-carded. I saw most of those posts and it was way out of line. Leading up to it, the way he was treating amateur51 was utterly disgraceful too.

But he wasn't always like that and he added a great deal to the forum. It's a shame that he can't be invited back.

Again I say, he was no pal of mine and even as fellow boardsters, we fell out.

I think I'm right in saying he left twice - the first time of his own accord, when things became a bit overheated, and then he returned after a pause. After a period of being on his best behaviour he seemed to go into what I can only describe as meltdown, completely without restraint. I daresay history would only repeat itself - as we know from one or two other cases I daren't name, people don't seem to change, that much
