Not sure if it is worth playing "Who was the greatest", because there are so many variables.
However, if you look at the game since say 1966, Cloughie's achievement of winning the league with two provincial clubs from outside of the big cities really does put him up there with Fergie IMO.

That said, I would rather play "Which was Fergie's best team?" I used to enjoy(?) watching them when they had Kanchelskis and Sharpe on the wings. Lightening !!
or .... Which was Fergie's worst moment against the mighty Saints ?!!" Plenty to choose from .
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

I remember when he came to manage Aberdeen. He was subsequently granted the Freedom of the City, an honour he shared with Prince Albert, Clement Attlee and Q Elizabeth the Q Mother among others. There's greatness.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Well we learnt this morning that Rob Cowan's first ever record was a Lonnie Donegan, so... there's hope yet.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Scotty was merely pointing out the one weakness that Sir Alex has. It is a lesser offence given that he is just the champagne variety and not part of the hard left.

No matter what you think of manyoo or Fergie, the job he has done there is incredible.

How many times has he rebuilt that team?
A manager staying at one club for 26 years will probably never happen again.

Shame that Wrigley may have to enter administration on the back of this news though.

I hear the top clubs are now in a bidding war to sign Howard Webb.

This has so far been a rather fun, light hearted sort of thread.

Let's try and keep it that way, shall we?

Yeah, and when I came out there was Grozdan, standing at the bus stop.

Apparently, SAF will now be going into business with some bloke called Dyson, to market a new design of hair dryer.
