That would be extremely helpful because it would take me (or anyone else) some time to look them out, and anyway it would be a bit awkward to just move them over because ... well it would, trust me.

If it's really an issue that traditional notation is rejected as being too "intimidating" maybe it's better that people just stay away from all that frightening "music" stuff in the first place.

The problem with introducing new ideas or methods to replace (& improve*) the old is that those people familiar with the old say it's not needed, which means that those people it's intended to help don't have a chance to learn it; it's also difficult if both methods run in parallel.

* I'm not saying that this is necessarily an improvement, or not. At first glance it doesn't look any easier.

This is true. But my point is that it isn't simpler or easier (to read or to write), and its complexities would rapidly accumulate if it had to accommodate things like harmonics, or microtones, or gracenotes, or clusters, or "irrational" beat-subdivisions... I could go on ad nauseam. But perhaps its inventors are only dimly aware that such things exist at all. Which is sort of paradoxical - if this new notation were intended to rationalise all the often clumsy add-ons to "old" notation conceived in the last sixty years or so, that might be a useful idea (though not in the sense that it would be aimed at a small community of already-accomplished musicians); but it's actually intended to simplify traditional notation, among whose advantages are not just its widespread use but also the fact that it contains in a sense the whole history of the music and its performance - when you play a piece by Bach you are looking essentially at the same thing that Bach wrote, which has to be worth something in terms of the way the notation communicates to a player. But again I dare say that kind of thing wasn't even considered by the people who invented this notation.
