I am completely mystified by my Sibelius blind spot.

Then more power to your pot! I add my thanks to those of Pet and S_A, Edgy; there are corners of the repertoire that I didn't know before and that I've listened to with great pleasure purely in response to your obvious enthusiasm.

Perhaps you could ease you way in with some ersatz Sibelius?

One of the huge pleasures of this place!

Don't be mystified ER, we all have our blind spots - mine include Bruckner symphonies, about 70% of Mozart, Bernard Haitink and Radiohead !

If you want to know which Beethoven 5 to get but are afraid to ask, just ask anyway, you could be amazed at what you will learn.
Oh, I would never ask a question like that, Petrushka!. Opinion is quite different from fact and knowledge. "Experts" themselves differ on what's "best". So I choose my "experts" very carefully, especially when money is involved.

However, like you and Beefy, I also don't know the difference between a rising 5th and rissole so I tend to keep well out of a discussion on either ...

                        I know my place!

Except haitink I wouldn't go so far as to include Bernard...

The first two notes of Also Spracht Zarathustra make up a rising fifth, scotty.

Horsemeat and lots of other questionable things make up a rissole.
