I'm glad it's not - I would have missed it as I rarely go there, but I will drop in there from now on.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I too have been out ....twice....still thick snow in the lee of every wall....waiting for the cherries in the village school to come out as my comfirmation that spring has arrived [no sign yet]....just a lot of Dunnocks here and the odd Chaffinch....first walk without me gortex....still Easter hol's so kids playing(sound of)....have one dog very slow and another very fast, with me hesisitating between them....with writing a bit about Ireland today I've had Irish Aires wafting through my mind and making their way to my lips as breathy gentle whistles....

... contemplating me mortal coil this afternoon i read a review of this by Prof Mithen [of Singing Neanderthal fame] in the LRB .... 648 pages of gentle academic wandering through case histories etc ... Prof Mithen is much impressed .... just the thing to read on a swinging hammock by an oil lamp with a whiskey on the rocks .... [no class warfare &c just anthropology and archaeology] ... bliss ...

and many thanks for the introduction to Hamerik Pabmusic ...

I nearly changed it as soon as pabmusic clarified it. I'm sure I had a reason, though ...

In fact I did - I was assuming the thread title referred to his Yorkie
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Great thats the Thatcherisation turned off....I'll have a bit of Capercaille (the band not endangered bird) in a minute....

I remember when Princess Di died....after only 2 days I rang up the PM programme to complain they were going on too much about it, when were they going to leave off....I think the message I left was " Christ she's just an ordinary person, give over will ya, lets have some proper news....(I think I finished with)....Ah well it will be good practise for the Queen Mum"
                              ....that's ME I'm afraid

According to Simon Hoggart on PM, the front bench below the gangway was empty, so I take that as a no.
