After today's bluster and showers, we have a cool high moving in for the weekend, followed next week by more-or-less changeable conditions for everyone, with temperatures around what they should be for this time of year. Simon warns of a turn to colder conditions after the 27th, with north-westerlies bringing showers, which I guess could be sleety with snow over northern hills. He is predicting a turn to warmer conditions after week 1 in May, but, best not to put out the hardy annuals until we get there!

I hope friend gamba needs no more pints from the NHS in the near future and is as well as possible. I saw a very nice REAL doctor yesterday. I won't spoil your elevenses with details but he has given me a strong nasal spray, which he thinks will help my throat. Am posting too much and must do some dusting as a family party tomorrow, [they bring the food], for my birthday last week. Not one ending in a 'nought' like gamba's but I'm one year nearer to him now.

Thanks ferney and Bbm. It's getting to be a scary number but must try to get out more and enjoy life.

                        Gosh, many thanks boys

Perhaps it is time for this thread to be closed as we are all getting older and having birthdays, after all.

Nice alycidon started it because of his Cairn's pic as his avatar.Gamba is the one we ought to congratulate as he is wonderful for his age. Mind you, I have an organist friend of nearly 93, who still drives, plays the organ and enjoys his music.

                        Thanks anyway

Iam allowed to break my own rules - yes?

My touchpad is cracked [like me, say my family!] Any tips on using a mouse? Itis a nice littlething but can't control it. Itis a Logitech and have a mouse mat, etc but can't get used to it.Back later.

You could perhaps try slowing it down. (start, control panel, printers and other hardware, mouse)

Saly, this might have some ideas -

No matter how perfect medicine is, it cannot cure everyone of all diseases. A man is the creator of his own health, which must be fought for.

or there are plug-in & wireless touchpads like this -

Browse all Logitech products. Award-winning, beautifully designed peripherals for everyone at work, home, and school.

That could be a bit pricy. This is my google search, so there might be more possibilities -

                              Hope that helps.

I've had a day shuttling backwards and forwards from doc to pharmacy and back again as tablets are being changd yet again. Too boring but haven't had time for mousey suggestions today. Many thanks anyway, Another day.
