    Charlotte Green

Charlotte Green will be presenting her own classical music programme, on CFM on Sunday (tomorrow) at 3pm.

I know, as I've been listening to CFM this morning, having given up on R3 in disgust! KUSC is my other radio programme.

Radio3 is bad in the mornings- although I think Saturday is better than the rest of the week- but CFM is much worse. And that's before we even mention the adverts!!

Much as I like Charlotte Green, she's not enough to persuade me to listen to CFM.

    No idea what KUSC is.

Anyone on here ever listen to David Mellor's (I know) new releases programme on CFM?
It's not as bad as you might think, seriously.

(Incidentally, don't listen now - there seems to be a worldwide internet problem at the moment affecting streamed music - YouTube is affected too, as is that link to KUSC: it's all stutters and drop-outs. Just had confirmation it's the same in France, for instance)

He and Ken Livingstone host a rather good Saturday morning phone-in on LBC as well.

I've discovered that Radio 3 is the perfect alarm clock.

Fall asleep at around 2 am with Through The Night in progress. At 0820 there is the appalling phone interview with a nobody. Nothing could be better calculated to rouse me from my slumbers. I could scarcely describe to anyone else the extreme urgency I feel to get to the off switch, though I suspect many on here will know just what it feels like.

Agreed that Radio3 nis bad if not very bad in the mornings, but imo CFM is even worse!

Switched on Charlotte Green sunday pm. Lasted 5mins, o dear! Turned off, both CG and CFM........

                        Back to our CDs.

I have tried but five minutes is longer than I can usually stand. Even when R3 is bad I can just about manage to stay tuned most of the time. I find I have an allergic response to the CFM style.

I thought I'd give it a try too so I listened via the CFM 'On Demand' player. I wish I'd not bothered and just stayed with my fond memories of Ms Green on Radio 4! It almost, and I must emphasise almost, made 'Breakfast' seem intelligent!
