Yes, probably, ER ... Hartlepool and Greenock have their attractions as well. And I forgot about Slough.

As for Stockport, I'd imagine before they built that concrete monstrosity of a shopping-centre it would almost certainly have been considered a very attractive-looking town indeed ... and there's that magnificent rail viaduct which I omitted to mention.

Well scotty, Greenock has its pot-ugly bits, of course, but this view from its Lyle Hill isn't all bad, shurely?

I see that New Cumnock has won this year's Carbuncle Award, & will be the proud holders of the 'Plook on a Plinth' trophy. I wonder if that means that Cumbernauld (a previous winner) has improved, or that past winners are banned from competing?

Only been there for the footy.
                          Not really a sightseeing paradise.
Worksop isn't too clever as I recall.

And returning to lovely Scotland, my one flying visit to Livingstone didn't make much of an impression other than of extensive dullness. Perhaps I missed the good bits.

Some family members are 'atters and I have been with them a couple of times. It's an odd ground with stands hemmed in by houses and road system. The "executive" stand is a very narrow strip down one side.
