Black Swan
I will have to decide on what to play.
1. Barenboim with Meier and Jerusalem
2. DVD of the Levine MET Parsifal
3. Blue Ray of the MET recent production with Kaufman
I am thinking it will be number 3.

I shall play Act 3 from the 1964 Bayreuth Festival (Orfeo) in memory of the great man himself - Knappertsbusch. Hotter and Vickers never sang better.

And I dont think they sang together again, at least not for a commercial recording? Does anyone know?

Beefy, that looks a great steer. I have a mountain of music I need to listen to,in fact a range of mountains, but this is going on the list. The amazon reviews are mouthwatering.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.

Is this an unusual Radio Three Good Friday not to present a broadcast Parsifal?
