Iraq, WMD and the Road to War, Revisited

Tonight's Panorama at 22.35 is entitled The Spies Who Fooled The World.

The lies of two Iraqi spies were central to the claim - at the heart of the UK and US decision to go to war in Iraq - that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Former Cabinet Secretary Sir Robin (now Lord) Butler, who conducted the first enquiry into the Iraq War, apparently says that Blair didn't lie about WMD but "he misled himself"

Prompted by presenter Peter Taylor, Butler also agrees that Britons have "every right" to feel misled by their prime minister
