    Formula One and Wagner

What a lovely way to start the weekend. Started at 5am with the dramatically rain affected start of the new Formula One season on Sky Sports F1 HD,

then at about 8am switched over to Sky Arts 2 where I caught the 2nd and 3rd acts of Die Walkure, part of the Valencia Ring Cycle.

    Top notch. Thank you Sky.

Thanks at least for not giving away the result of qualifying which I am about to watch in old-fashioned style in the deferred broadcast offered by the British Broadcasting Corporation. Good enough for me, and I had a decent lie-in

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
