I have to say as I have said before I find SMP a wonderful presenter at any time of day......
Old softy!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
I'll try & increase my posts about music (except that I don't think they will be very interesting, & so often when I listen to a concert on Po3 & think 'that was good' I find that Hornspieler et al have posted saying that it was appalling, so I'm a bit hesitant about commenting & thereby demonstrating that I know nothing).
Flosshilde, I am sure that your views on concerts are as worthwhile as anybody else's.

I tend to agree with that. While the views of the ex-players is extremely welcome and informative, it can be easy for them to concentrate purely on the technical expertise demonstrated. Any number of faults can be identified and held up for dissection. We all know that recordings of live sessions are invariably "patched" before being issued as records, which is why it is invidious to compare a live performance as heard on the radio with a CD.
Sir, I don't see the marvellous LS in either team. I should like to point out that she like CB is an all-rounder, indeed she is an accomplished singer and a player in her own right as well as one of the most knowledgeable presenters. You'll have to drop somebody

Well, I'm not so sure about that but if I go to something that is worth posting about I will do. I must have been having a particularly sour day yesterday

An omission which must be rectified. I cannot single out any of the others to step aside to make room for her so we should instead find three more and play Rugby.
And, btw, all the reserves are on the transfer list.
I last visited it on Thursday, when it asked me to fill in a Questionnaire to let them know what I thought about it. So I did!
As a result, we can expect great improvements in the next few days.
And Facebook now appears to encourage spammers and other people plugging their own concerts (rather than Radio 3's concerts - unless they have a vested interest in them). Retweets on Twitter are almost exclusively plugs for programmes and retweets of people saying 'Ah! Radio 3! Bliss!'
For information (because I don't know about these things), where do you find all the tweets which get read out on programmes, relating to household dusting etc.?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Go to Twitter, select the tweet from the presenter or other tweeter and click on "Expand" ; this then gives a selection of those "child" tweets which have responded to the "parent" tweet.

Thank you. Off I trot ...<patter-patter-patter-patter>.
Well, I don't see that many - but I suppose you only need half a dozen to give the impression they're all twittering in.

I don't think you get to see them all; probably limited to the first six that tweet in. However, sometimes a hashtag is asked for (e.g.#baroquespring). If you type this in the search engine, you will get a list of all the tweets which have used that hashtag.

Do you need to subscribe to Twitter?
btw - is the name of the 'service' connected with the verb 'twit' -
