Am i imagining it, or is there rather more non-classical music on 'In Tune' when Suzy Klein is in charge than there is with Sean or Petroc?

I don't know who it was, but I put R3 on during the day recently (something I no longer do) and had to turn off because the female announcer was making such a pretentious meal of every vaguely foreign-sounding name or word which she used. It really sounded like a spoof. I've no idea if it was the person mentioned above.

I am baffled by these outbursts of spleen against the female presenters on R3. Both Suzie Klein and Katie Derham sound just fine to me and I would be very happy to spend an hour in their company, or indeed, buy them dinner, judging by the sound of their voices.
What's up, chaps? Dont you like the idea that women might actually know this esoteric stuff? I've known a few who have known plenty of it, and certainly more than me.

Spot on. 'Fraid she has exactly the same effect on me.
Hear > Reach > Switch > Off.
Interesting point, I suppose, that if you so strongly make your schedules depend on the whole profile of who is presenting them as R3 and R2 have done, then you really do run the risk in an age of pretty well instantly invariably available music as and when that people choose to switch off when certain 'voices' are on.

There must be so many well-informed, articulate, intelligent people out there who could do the job much better, and no doubt at less cost.
And what do looks have to do with the job of announcing on a radio?
