Soon comes round again.
Anybody got anything good lined up this week, to brighten this gloomy weather?
I might just get to a concert on Thursday, but either way have one lined up for the following week.
I wonder if Alison has a few quid on the Foxes yet? Would love to see them do it. Punters in for a sporting bet can still get 16/1 on Spuds to win the league, which might give a person a fun ride.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

10/1 looks the best price now. still a fair price for a small wager.Last edited by teamsaint; 24-01-16, 20:56.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

A good weekend for us and almost a relief to have a rest for ten days.

Good to have the bar open on a Sunday again.
Another week beckons at work. I always try to take a day off in January to counteract the post-Christmas gloom and went out with friends last Friday. Got no concerts in the pipeline. I've been through the literature but nothing has really stood out for me as a must go and while that's unusual it's not unknown.
Had two winners again on Saturday. It pays to go on anything Richard Johnson rides if anyone wants any tips! Had at least one winner every Saturday bar one since October 31 so need to keep that particular wagon rolling."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

Good manager. Might just be capable of pulling off a surprise. Very good at instilling belief in his younger players.
Not the most lovable character, but being lovable never won anybody the league.
Spurs will have a lack of pressure compared to city and Arsenal for the rest of the season, which will be a big help.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

All getting a bit serious now. A country awaits one of the all time great sporting achievements.
Anyway, the beautiful game aside, harrumph and mumble grumble, Monday tomorrow.
Had a reasonable week of it for music, live lunchtime concert on Friday, (where I discovered the delights of Erkki Sven Tuur) and Puccini at the cinema last night.

First off, plaster the gaping holes in the en suite and family bathroom ceilings, made when new extractor fans were fitted last November! Currently covered with plastic bags held on with Blu-Tack!

Evening all Sunday nighters, hope you are well.
Currently off work, which is good, but for health reasons, which is bad.
My GP recently decided there may be something a bit awry in the heart department.Could be angina or something a bit nastier, numerous tests and appointments with cardiologist done and to come.
So rest at the moment, short walks, missing hikes With the dogs which is now my son's job.
Hopefully my case for early retirement will be looked on favourably now.
Enough, don't want to bore you all.
