Well Pet,there's a whiff of voluntary redundancy in the air where I work.
I am fast approaching 57 and with over 30 years service I could take early retirement too.
Here's hoping, although I've been down this road before and been turned down.

Good evening all Sunday nighters btw.

        Hi all.

Good luck with the voluntary redundancy thing ER. Sounds like you need to do a worse job, and get yourself selected for a nice big payoff !

Problem is, Rob, that it's cheaper for them to turn you down for redundancy and let you sweat your socks off until 65. It's bad luck for those who've been a long time in one place.

The timing's a bit different for me but I'm starting to get similar sensations...!

Whatcher got planned, teamster? I mean, Easter is a nice long break.... but thereafter?

Got a similar 'light April' myself - going to be pottering around northern France in the motor between 20th April and the end of the month...

Evening all, rather late tonight and virtually last orders already.

Have we all been in an Elgar 2 mood? I look forward to the younger generation of conductors taking on this mighty work.

How come Sir Simon hasn't delivered the performance of our dreams? Perhaps he will with the LSO one day.

Not sure if the slot on Hummel Piano Trios is still listenable again.

Is it two sets on Naxos to get the whole lot?

First full week off since September for me and jolly good it feels too.
