Any more news on the redundancy situation ts or is it the period of 'consultation'?

No wins on the horses this weekend but much enjoyed watching the racing from Cheltenham. I was on the Hobbs/Johnson horses that didn't win, such is my luck these days!
Evening Pet, Alison and any others.

consultation all over thanks, Pet, should hear tomorrow. I should end up with a job, I think, and as Oscar Wilde should have said, the only thing worse than having a job is not having a job.

Sorry that your luck seems to be out on the horses. i'd like to follow a bit more closely, but time doesn't seem to allow. must make time for a day at the races sometime soon .

Been folowing Barbi's Records of 2014 thread, very tempted to add a few of those to the Xmas list......which at prsesent seems to run to about 50 items !!!!!!!!!!
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

          Good luck tomorrow then Sainty.

Yes it's nearly time to think about submitting a bumper christmas order.

I have been collecting the Jarvi Tchaikovsky ballets so will have to get Nutcracker.

Gerald Barry's the Importance of being earnest is highly tempting too.

            Good evening all,sorry I'm late.
Fingers crossed for a good outcome ts.
Surely your luck will change Pet.
Alison have you listened to that Wordsworth cd yet ?

I've been wondering how Bach and Haydn can have pretty much passed me by for so many years, now I can't get enough.

Consolation prize? Anyway, they're all good, but I prefer Vernon Handley on EMI.

Sometimes chatting about music on this board seems harder than it ought to be .

                        Thanks chuck.

I find increasingly that I have to give music my full attention, especially when listening to new stuff.

                        Night night all.

                          Hope you are all well.

Sad news about Arthur Butterworth,if you don't know the viola sonata you should give it a try.

Still can't stop listening to JSB and Papa H here.

Hi ER, and other Sunday Nighters. Pretty rotten weekend of weather here.

You will no doubt be thrilled to know that I got offered a new job, rather along the lines of more responsibility and stress, for the same money.....C'est la vie, and at least it is something to pay the Xmas bills with !!

I have a night at the opera this week, seats in the gods for WNO's Carmen in Southampton. Should be a nice night out.

I'll certainly try the Butterworth Sonata, ER. Haven't heard a lot, though I do enjoy the first symphony. Very sad news indeed.

I'm still ploughing through the Haydn symphonies in slightly disorganised fashion. No 39 is a standout for me so far.

Saints at Villa tomorrow night, would be great to keep the run going, we have a very tough run coming up.

Not me, I'm afraid. Had a slightly earlier night than usual, up far too early Monday morn.

Congratulations on the new job, ts. Hope it's not taking a job off someone who was made redundant but been in that situation myself in the past.
