          Hello is there anyone there?

Three day week at work coming up for me as I'm going to the LSO/Haitink Bruckner 8 on Thursday at the Barbican. Pity the Radio 3 microphones aren't there.

Trust everybody has been enjoying the good weather we've been having. Is it next weekend the clocks go back?

Hi Pet and others. Just clocking in for 10 mins before an early night. Groundhog day at work tomorrow.......

Sounds like a decent week lined up Pet, enjoy the concert on Thursday. The second Bruckner 8 at the Barbican in 4 months !!
Been a decent weekend weatherwise here, still recovering from seeing the Saints put 8 past hapless Sunderland....at least it was my turn to have the tickets. Four of us share 2 season tickets.

Ah sheesh I forgot about the Wordsworth.

The Pires recording of Beethoven concertos has arrived however. Could be one for the car journeys this week.

Not sure if I can get to the Barbican on Thursday. Yes a real shame about bbc radio 3 not being there.

Extremely well done Southampton. Leicester's form not so encouraging just now.

Yes, wasn't it wonderful? I well remember you tipped this horse on here in one of its first races and won me some CD spending money

(Got any more like that? Buying the 1980s Karajan set has blown a hole in the budget and the wins are few and far between these days)

                        Evening Sunday nighters.

Following the hurricane-force wind and hailstorm that was blowing straight into my face last Tuesday I now have the world's worst cold and have decided to take the day off tomorrow as it has really taken a cast-iron grip. I'm hoping it doesn't get into my ears (as it is prone to do) as it can take weeks or even months to shift. Listening to music becomes difficult too so want it to steer well clear.

Is there a hot toddy at the bar?

Me and son had a little 4 aways footy accumulator going on today.

                          Exeter @ 9/5,Everton @ 10/11,Newcastle @ 4/1 (thought we'd done the hard bit with that) and flippin Chelsea @ 6/4.

Hello Pet and other Sunday nighters.

Sorry to hear about the cold , Pet sounds awful.maybe try a Lancashire variation on the hot toddy?

to make a benny and hot use bénédictine d.o.m. liqueur, boiling water and garnish with lemon wedge squeezed over and dropped into glass pour both ingredients into

Sounds like you managed to enjoy the Concert on Thursday Pet.

I have a concert lined up for Wednesday in the Cathedral, Zuckerman playing Bruch VC 1 with a Canadian orchestra, and Beethoven 7. No great expectations, as Cathedrals arent always the best for concerts, among other things. My Parents fancied it, so it will get them out and about, and should be a decent evening.bound to be something to enjoy !!
