Indeed so - I'd back Leicester to finish 11th and Southampton 17th!

much as I would be very happy for Leicester to do well, I do think 11th is probably beyond their wildest dreams. much will depend , (as it does for most of the bottom 12) on keeping their nerve during the inevitable bad spells, and spending wisely in January.
City look solid, had a great season, and have every chance of staying up, but I bet Nige would Kill for 42 points right now !!

Prediction for the Saints? same applies about nerve, but a bit of seige mentality, two years experience in the PL, and cash yet to spend should means we will be ok somewhere below 10th....i hope !!
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I have the greatest respect for Nigel Pearson and there are a number of Prem sides who will struggle this season!

Shambles doesn't even begin to describe it Alison.

The Saints may have cash to spend but it will be a season of rebuilding and a struggle will result. They will survive by a good ending to the season boding well for 2015-6!

That is about how I see it. We really do need a quality CB (we only have 2 of PL standard)and a quality striker FAST . That and lots of rebuilding will make it tough .

However, James Ward Prowse is going to be a star this season, and our midfield looks really very good, with great strength in depth even if Morgan goes.

How is the outlook for the Owls?

A lot depends on whether this Azerbaijani takeover takes place and if it does whether it brings the buying power for players. Stu Gray I think is a very good coach and can get the best out of players - some of whom are not brilliant players - we've just signed a striker May from St Johnstone who found the net 27 times for them last season - Wednesday can do with some of that! Best scenario for us -top half maybe squeezing into playoffs - worst is safety somewhere between Easter and the last but one match!
