Sounds good, Pet (in the absence of a coffee and cake smilie!)

Talking of Christmas: Sainsbury's are selling Christmas Cakes. (Just 94 shopping days to go - buy now whilst stocks last!)

The official Equinox today - and yet the actual equal hours of sunlight and darkness doesn't actually happen here until Wednesday, according to the Met Office.

Looks like a hectic week for me. Need lots of sales this week. Oh well, same as it ever was !

Chris Rouse Symphony #2 obligingly popped through my letterbox yesterday, so some good listening for tomorrow at least .

I love the place in Reading , which proudly proclaims itself as the "European Centre for Medium Term Weather Forecasting"

            or something similar.
Medium term. What is that supposed to mean?! fence sitting of the worst kind .

Good luck with the cat, BBM.

Sick pets can be very distressing.

Looks like you don't care much for the office life, ER. Neither do I, come to that; poor salary, poor pension, poor management, colleagues you can't stand, typical office life really. I've got 5 and a half years to retirement with another year to wait for the state pension and it can't come soon enough. The key to the daily grind is to always have something to look forward to. I've got the Orchestra Mozart/Haitink concert a week on Tuesday so I can console myself with that when the going gets too much.

Yes, you have an exceptional treat there, Pet.

Bernard Haitink conducting Beethoven's Fourth. I can't get there sadly.

A great pity. This concert must have been sold out months ago on the strength of Abbado's and Argerich's names but it's always worth queuing for returns unless you mean you're unable to get there at all.
