I'm going to start a thread on 'Early Music' after a decent interval !I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Jordi's clothes deserve a review of their own - I like those floaty silk scarves he wears when playing the viol. Not practical for birdwatching though.

I'm intrigued by the question.
Would it be an important part of a tour?
Would its presence encourage you to visit?
Are you compiling a cookbook?
Do you have a punchline for a joke and need a stooge?

I've now listened to this and I'm going to start a new thread about the critics programme, starting with a (non-spoiler) post about the Mahler 1 programme...."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

What a weekend last weekend was, as far as brass banding is concerned! Three Regionals were competing for the National Brass Band Championships. South West, North West, and Midlands.
A friend of mine plays in a band in the NW, and came 2nd in the 4th Section, which qualifyies them for the Finals, held at Cheltenham.
The Championship Section is always held in the Royal Albert Hall, Lodon in October. The lower sections are held in September.Don’t cry for me
