    Evening Sunday Nighters.
ITs been a glorious spring day here, little bit of gardening after a day of footy and music yesterday.

Just watched El Classico. Blimey, high octane stuff, to say the least. A trip to the Nou Camp to see a game should be on every footy fans bucket list. A very special atmosphere, a bit like the Dell but 6 time bigger.

Hope everybody had a good weekend, and got some quality listening in.
My listening week dominated by Sena Jurinac. Absolutely amazing voice and singer.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

As just commented on the Dicky 3 thread, highlight of the day was Howells's Take Him Earth For Cherishing echoing around the coffin during that service this evening. What a piece, worth waiting 500 years to have that as part of your obsequies!

In other news - where woz you abroad, anton?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Hope to see you at bar later folks.

Cali, assume Havergal Brian returned to 363 and Hummel Piano Trios exchanged in the same bag?

I was intrigued by that CD-R slot on the piano trios where allergic reaction to Harriet Smith was tempered by the unfamiliar but very taking works under discussion.

No - they had one of the Hummels but not the other, but with downloading etc I lost all impetus to acquire CDs, and emerged with 2 DVDs which will do as presents...
