I suspect you are confusing 'celibate' with 'chaste'...

I love the way on this recording that she breaks free of the rigid singing format in the reprise and starts to (s)wing it - Ella Fitzgerald cited Connie Boswell as one of her major influences - how is that?!

Actually on a semi serious note, the info on here can be rather overwhelming, what with SC's journey, Neglected British/yanks etc/jazz !!
Could you just do one lesson a week, please , with say 2 works. That would help the newbie settle in at a sensible pace.

Last year, there was a weekly board BaL during the Proms. How does this work? Does everyone get to choose a work or do the hosts decide? I ask because I enjoyed reading them (I wasn't a member at that time, a mere 'lurker'), and these type of threads often provoke a lot of interest/debate/unusual recordings, etc., as Brahms 2 shows.
