This will be great for us dog owners 8o

'Barclaycard have launched PayWag, the world’s first contactless payment device created especially for pets.

Aimed at making customers’ lives easier and giving dogs a new leash of life, the PayWag is a contactless payment chip that fits discreetly to the collar of man’s best friend and acts as an extension of their owner’s credit card.

All transactions made will appear clearly marked on their owner’s credit card bill with a paw print symbol, allowing cardholders to identify and dispute transactions where pets have been behaving pawly yet treating themselves without their knowledge.

Daisy Allproof, head of contactless for pets at Barclaycard, said: “Barclaycard has a history of innovation and we’ve created PayWag to allow pets to conveniently pay for their shopping without their owners getting hot under the collar. We’re starting with a pilot scheme for dogs, but hope to roll this out to other pets later in the year.

“It’s a barking innovation that’s set to change the nation’s shopping habits. All that’s left to do is train your canine friend in the art of savvy shopping to ensure you aren’t left with a dog’s dinner of a credit card bill.”

Sunday night rolls round again. Just remembered this thread while the I wait for kettle to boil.
Well , It's back to work for me. Unfinished board business is the discussion that JLW prompted about the future of the CD/ downloads. I had some thoughts and was interested to discuss, (partly from a work perspective) but too late, so just wallowing in a big vat of Richard Strauss instead.....

Dash it, no bank holiday lie in tomorrow.

Quite enjoyed my little day. Drove 25 miles for an hour and a quarter pamper only to be told I was booked in for next Sunday. Already in a good mood, I went for some retail therapy instead in Colchester.

Had the Mozart piano concerto box for the journey (Ashkenazy). Isn't k450 pure delight ?

What 'yer got playing then Sainty ? Domestic Symphony ?

I love the Domestic. Last 20 mins a tour de force, nearly drove off the road listening to it once!

SNO/jarvi for moi. K450 and Domestic - what a good concert programme!

Might try that as a programme, Alison. Have the Kempe Strauss box before me and have been playing from it during the week. The Domestica is far from my favourite so a reappraisal along with the Liszt PC 2 is called for.

My CD concert tonight included Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn and was moved beyond words by the sublime slow movement. Cured the usual Sunday night blues anyway.

                            Evenin' all.
I don't listen to Strauss that often and I don't think I've ever knowingly heard a note of that domestic thingy.
Hope that doesn't put me in your bad books again Alison

In liking the Domestic I suspect I'm in the minority this time Edgers.

Well I'm in the minority with you, Alison, as was canvassed in the Richard Strauss thread

Some of the tender music is beautiful, and properly played (plenty of Schwung), the final movement is exhilarating
I totally agree with you about the last movement, as you see!
