Thank you Ferneyhoughgeliebte. I recognise your name from the erstwhile R3 forums. It's good to be back.

Hello, I'm glad you are joining us. I was laughed at as I asked about the dog but we have had a number of doppelgangers here, pretending to be 'old friends'. General topics on Stormy Weather thread and many threads for various types of music.

I hope you soon catch up with people from the old boards and many lively newcomers. best wishes, saly

Not quite, Throppers... Bruckner? Listening to his stuff is like overdosing on Battenburg Cake, imho.

We should stick to our principles and never succumb.

Ah - there writes the true intellectual! Just like me with Mendelssohn, don't much like what has nevertheless to be included for it to be a "representative collection" of, eg., classical music.

I think so thanks, saly, though my new server Sky has still not sent me a router: my computer whizz - the one I told you about - has lent me a spare; and this flat is taking surprisingly long to warm up after just a day without heating.

Hmmm - when they, government apologists for market pricing meaning heating bills rise all the time, are not saying, "Then put something extra on, you nincompoop, and stop complaining", they say, "well, get up and go out for a brisk walk to get that circulation going". But the effect on the legs of being in prolonged chill air is very strange, I find.
