I glanced at my grand-daughter's revision book (published by Edexcel) today.
Baroque Music is easy to recognise (it says) because;
-The dynamics change suddenly. Each bit is either loud or soft.
-The harmonies are simple. They mainly use chords I and V.
-The melody's swarming with ornaments...to make it more interesting.

Does anyone here have to teach this stuff?
