Moving swiftly on, I've just pre-ordered "The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses and the Rise of the Tudors" by Dan Jones, which has an excellent review in The Times. I rather skipped the Wars of the Roses when reading history at university so a good opportunity to unravel them.

Details of RIII's reinternment have been announced - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-28687107. The Independent' story on it also says that the coffin's arrival at the cathedral will be marked by a service of Compline presided over by the Catholic Archbishop of Westminster. After the three days of lying in state the re-burial service will be in the presence of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

          Better book your tickets, bbm!

I knew the date but I hadn't heard that the Archbishop be taking part. Hmmm not so sure about that but that's another storey but for III, yes.

You're not one of those High Anglicans that think the Church of Rome is nothing but an upstart invention of the Counter-Reformation, are you?

I got it wrong! The Archbishop of Canterbury is of course a heretic who should be burned at the stake.

                            Counter-Reformation?

That anything to do with the excellent Mary Portas?

I'm afraid I don't see her as excellent. She has just opened a charity shop for Save the Children which is fine, but Highgate High Street has three already, not to mention no less than thirteen estate agents in the space of about three hundred yards. If her campaigning is really intended to encourage small businesses and increase diversity, she has chosen rather and odd location for her latest venture.

I suppose the ABofC has to be invited as it's an Anglican Cathedral & an ex-monarch being burried; he's only going to be present, not presiding.
