As is the discussion of where he should be burried.

As I've already said on this thread, why not just share him round?

Anyone mentioned here, BBM? (You'll need to scroll down to the bottom)

(I was rather amazed to see that Edward & his first wife, Eleanor of Castille, had 19 children; many, if nor most, of whom died in infancy. Edward II was his seventeenth child & fourth son. With his second wife, Margaret of France, he had three.

I woul;d prefer either York or Westminster for RIII. Historically, it makes sense?

I couldn't see the name of the person involved Flosshilde. I am descended from John of Gaunt.

Poor Leicester! They sheltered him for so long. I think they should get to keep him.

And let's face it, Leicester could do with the tourist boost which neither York nor London needs.

Frankly I just wish they'd get on with it as little cost to the public purse as possible

More so than the RIII tombstone. The latter would be infinitely better without either the stone block, or the rose. In other words, as Jean said, the two elements are unrelated visually and emotionally. It is possible to have a dis-harmony between elements of a work that creates a more powerful work - in the RIII tomb the clash between them diminishes rather than enhances it. It looks as if someone has haphazardly dropped a block of stone on the floor.
