Well, the re-internment of RIII, would be a finality to this saga.

I am beginning to feel sorry for Richard the Third.

Perhaps that detective story [was it Daughter[s] of time] was right after all and he was a lovely man ?

Well - I wouldn't've liked to have crossed his path, sals - but he was certainly no worse than any of the other figures vying for power at the time, and as an administrator before he became king he was capable of acts of great generosity and sound judgement. I think - again given the standards of his time, and all other things being equal - he might have made a better king than Henry Tudor. But it's impossible (for me at least) to imagine subsequent English and British History without Henry the Eighth ... or the Stuarts ... or (etc etc etc).

Request that the family history posts be separated from Richard III as R3 () is a running story. I'll look at it tomorrow.

That's a dirty word for some hear-abouts. It would have to be done as the original performers (?) would have done had they had the benefit of modern knowledge & technology.

I have tried to pick out the mainly heredity/family history posts in a new thread Who do you think you are?. This thread can be resuscitated when the Richard III saga enters a new phase ...

On one side of my family tree, there my wife traced back to 890AD!

That would mean Latin mass of requiem in the Sarum Rite (with appropriate vestments: apparelled amices and albs etc) and music from his time (Dunstaple surely would be considered fitting).
We discussed the specific question of the liturgy and the music earlier in this thread, and then on this one.

Alas, Catherine's interest in an Early Music Show on the topic seems unlikely now to bear fruit.

I think "be forthcoming for this day" shall become the family motto chez ferney

I have tweeted Lucie Skeaping of "The Early Music Show, and she replied by saying, "will suggest, thanks". So you will never know what may happen, hoping something will turn up!
