But that Fofana try was a thing of beauty
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

When Wesley Forfana scored that try for France well, I can tell you, the chicken I had perched on my head, it fell off - state of shock it was, shock!! (I borrowed it from a neighbour just to show my solidarity) An interesting game but not the walk-over predicted.
Wales did ok, two tries. I am old fashioned as regards rugby, anyone can win by kicking but you have to strive for tries otherwise you just have to have a dozen Wilkinson clones and wheel them out 20 mins before half time, Farrell seems to be filling Wilkinson's boots
Dunno about commentary, someone called Andrew Whatisname took ill (too much pre-match hospitality? and had to have a lie down)]
          Looking forward to Scotland tomorrow!
Going off shortly, got leg of lamb in oven and guests arriving.

Throppers, there are only 3 million humans in Wales, we are outnumbered 3 to 1 by sheep. If we don't eat the buggers we are doomed and they will take over the Principality!!

Love the way you were scandalised and questioning sanity as as result of eating gigot on a Saturday evening, but not by the fact that Anna appears to have been watching the match with a chicken on her head.....!

I did not have a chance to inspect the animal's teeth to ascertain age, nor to quiz it on parentage, it was merely a very shapely and tender leg
Due to phone calls I missed completely the first half and start of the second half of Scotland v Ireland, so cannot comment on the match, but my goodness, what a nail biting finish and - Well Done Bravehearts!

Oi I'm supposed to be the amateur around here The price and size of leg are usually a good guide

Nail-biting sums it up - a very Northern Hemisphere game, the team that seized its chances won

Quite! An amazing result. I look forward to the Welsh match in two weeks, although I'll probably regret saying that.

Poor Leigh Halfpenny's kicking could have given Wales an additional 12 points so far but it was not to be. Both teams fighting hard, should be a great second half if their discipline holds up.;biggrin:

Messy, scrappy, not a lot of rugby played, record number of penalties (13!) which is boring to say the least (I felt so sorry for the Lovely Leigh missing three kicks at the sticks) It came to life around 65' in the second half. To be honest, we knew it would be tight and my friend Russell (who I bow to for all things rugby) predicted a draw and it could well have been the result.
Heigh Ho, it's only a game. Now, the interesting one is coming up - Ireland v France. Can France finally win a match? (Noticeable how Caliban, usually so patriotic when it comes to his adopted country has been very quiet on this year's 6N!)
