I've been to some Grand Prix, British and Belgian (distant family used to live in Belgium) I've never been so bored in my life, so could I ask Mr. Pee to respect that this thread is about Rugby and if he wishes to discuss F1 can he start a new thread where F1 can be discussed?
Thank you in advance for your co-operation Mr. Pee.

Nicely done, Anna and thank you Mr Pee

I'm still in a slight state of shock after the rugby - I felt certain that the French would steal it bit it was not to be. A great result for Italian rugby and for the competition but perhaps not for France's next opponents at least - Scotland will welcome Italy while France get ... Wales!

Eddie Butler says: Wales lost. There will be no grand slam this year – at least not a red one. Ireland will face England next in Dublin. Wales face three away games in succession, starting in Paris, with more pain, more statistical woe. But without sullenness after this. If the knives are to be sharpened, they will be honed lovingly and plunged with affection and regret. But plunged all the same.

I will of course respect that request. The Keep Calm poster was just a bit of mischief, I don't wish to divert the thread. You must excuse me, I do get rather unnaturally excited at this time of year as the beautiful new F1 cars are revealed and the pre-season testing gets going.

I shall ensure that any future contributions pertain to odd-shaped balls only.

As the advocate said, je repose ma valise...

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Except for some brief periods in the It vFr game the handling for all teams has really gone up, I guess 80% of passes or more were successful and in many of the cases the players were missing out flat players and passing to those with momentum....French passed flat continually....MUST admit some of the passing behind the advancing forwards looked a bit like NFL blocking (All Blacks tactic)

....I cannot find the match stat's anywhere but I guess the Irish tackle count was well over 200....

The match reports on the Official RBS 6 Nations website contain a comprehensive stats section - Wales v Ireland game here , 176 tackles made by Ireland.

I was very pleased for the Italians and especially that phenomenal player Parisse and the Cro-Magnon figure of Castrogiovanni who have so often in the past come close only to lose at the last. It was another excellent game and I now fear for Wales' visit to Rome later in the season

Exciting 3rd Quarter, wasn't it? Multiple Beyoncé in the break obviously caused fuses to blow somewhere....
