Old BBC publications - including BBC Television Supplements

While looking for other material, in particular connected with the saxophonist Sigurd Raschèr, I came across this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/historyofthebbc...-028-72dpi.pdf I think this serendipitous discovery arose because of the link to Eric Coates (see the page). Coates was one of quite a number of composers who had written music for Rascher. Others included Glazunov, Hindemith, Ibert, Lars-Erik Larsson and Hovhaness. Saxo Rhapsody was written in 1936.

I don't know what other BBC material is hidden away behind this web site, but others may want to explore it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/historyofthebbc...es/radio_times

Thanks Dave, very interesting. So far I've looked at 'Women at the BBC' and the 'Radio Times'. Coming up to date they mention proudly that there are 12 pages on TV every day. What a pity they have forgotten why they were originally published = to give full details of the important RADIO PROGRAMMES.

Interesting. A pity though that the writer of the gardening piece can't spell 'stalwart'.
