Over on the Alphabetical Assd, we've come with half-a-dozen composers all called Robert Johnson! Is this a record?

probably because composers' surnames are pretty much in line with the percentage of the population as a whole, though i confess i've never actually studied this apparently perplexing issue in any great detail. Flossie, maybe?

In any case there are more than enough divinely composing 'bs' to make up for any lack of leading literal talent elsewhere ...

Can I thank people for contributing. I really didn't expect so many replies.

(All comments about Dutch composers, whether Zappa is classical, Duke Ellington and the reasons for the absence of E and J at the start of non-English surnames would still be very welcome in private messages...............after all, Google has its limitations)
