    At the Third Stroke ...

... the time on BBC Radio 3 will be:

Britten's Four Sea Interludes ... Bip, bip, BIP.

At the third stroke the time on BBC Radio 3 will be:

Debussy's La Mer ... Bip, bip, BIP.

At the third stroke the time on BBC Radio 3 will be:

Stravinsky's Firebird Suite ... Bip, bip, BIP.

At the third stroke the time on BBC Radio 3 will be:

Malcolm Arnold's English Folk Dances Suite ... Bip, bip, BIP.

At the third stroke the time on BBC Radio 3 will be:

Brahm's Academic Festival Overture ... Bip, bip, BIP.

... And don't forget, if you've missed any of these works in the last twenty-four hours you can always catch up on the BBC iplayer and listen again. Or, you can probably just tune in again tomorrow because we're bound to be playing them again.

I posted that because I am taking a long break from a day job and one of the things I was looking forward to was no longer being exposed to the repetition and automaton presentation of the Breakfast sequence.

Yes, I was naieve enough to imagine that the daytime was still of a standard. Well, that was stupid of me, wasn't it?!

it is CFm lite - the lightness being derived from the absence of the obnoxious adverts tho the BBC's own 'built trailer' dept could easily move en masse across to CFm and apart fro subject matter I doubt if anything would change - possibly post noon there is some return to old Beeb stndards tho come 4.30 ...

I hope the Brahms didn't interfere with your enjoyment of the Bips....
