Curalach (I know you are not 'missing')
Very much delayed but my deepest sympathy on the passing of your wife in July, and my best wishes to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year.

      Mahlerei and Sky
Keep off the mud!! Have a great un-muddy Christmas

      Becca Newman
Best wishes to you and your family. When all the presents are opened and all is settled, I shall play Poppea and think of Chris.

[ed] Thanks saly. All this rain is making my brain muddier than ever.

Well said doversoul. Err, it's Mahlerei and SKY but snow would be a good name for her too.

And Chris is missed a great deal by me and many of us, I'm sure. Happy Christmas to you and may it stop raining soon.

Yes, very much. Best wishes to Becca and all his family at this time.

Festive Greetings, should they see this, to Mahlerei, Gamba, John Skelton, smittims and all old friends.

And sigolene euphemia, a colourful lady with some wonderful posts who stopped contacting us in March 2011.
She was a mere 55 years old, she was always taking long trips in her yacht, and I would love to know that she is okay.

and more recently jayne lee wilson - hope you and mum are well.

And Euda............think I'll open my presents and get a coffee. Bestio

Last Christmas dear Patrick sent me his unwanted cd of the Praetorius Mass to forward to my sister which I know she played this morning.
I also miss StillHomewardBound's posts, although I know he hasn't left us for good.
I hope they are both having a lovely Christmas Day.
Chris Newman of course is missed by one and all. From the old MBs I really miss wilf and smittims.

Happy Christmas to all on these boards. I do miss 'King Christian' - his devotion to Sibelius was a joy!

Seconded! The first Christmas without a loved one is always a difficult one. Best wishes to Curalach and Becca Newman.

Sorry folks & especially salymap, I have been absent for a while. Another hospital visit. A combination of Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Rheumatoid Arthritis & a very low count of red corpuscles in my blood, making one extremely weak. Iin fact at present I'm at my happiest while asleep !

However, I have discovered another wonderful 'find' on the web - Beethoven's Qt. op.59 no.1, on Utube & played by the Prazak Qt. An absolutely superb film, beautiful lighting, choice of pictures, direction, atmosphere, sound quality - the lot. I'm absolutely captivated by it, plus an incredible commitment from the players - this is truly something very special.
