Who would be the world's most powerful man?

    Oh dear!

The US faces a dilemma at climate change talks in Qatar, as the final text approves the principle of compensating poorer nations.

A dilemma, indeed (I'd just read that story).

The principle seems a moral imperative but
The US will be seeking support from other big polluters - like Canada - likely to face liability for climate damages.
I didn't realise Canada, so admirable in some respects, was a villain in this.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      I didn't either, a real eye-opener

If UKIP gets a contemporaneous peak in its popularity polls, that'll be most unwelcome news for Dave

I'm busy absorbing David McKay's information - as recommended by A-I-C : I like the definition of a climate change 'sceptic' as - 'someone who hasn't studied the data'.
