Wiki - have you donated?

The Wikimedia Foundation are asking for donations to avoid requiring funding through advertisements. I find Wiki an invaluable resource, and am grateful that it is (hopefully) not linked to the internet commercial giants like Facebook, Google, Amazon, YouTube etc. They now have a tenner from me.

Will they get something from you too?

It is a useful resource, but it is wide open to manipulation from all sorts of angles.

Wiki, in my opinion , and that of many others, has a distinctly "mainstream" feel in some places. Articles are ferequently very dismissive indeed of "alternative" viewpoints.
I use it a lot, but I am very wary of it's contents.

Yes, I agree that some is badly written - especially newer contributions, but where would we be without it?
