"Nae more than five meat". A favourite Scottish phrase of mine, which i picked up in the restaurant at ASDA , Livingstone, when ordering the 8 item breakfast.
I assumed it was an old native saying.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

You may have misheard it slightly.

It's because six or more gathered together may be considered to constitute an unlawful assembly, according to ancient Scots law. (Thought to be because the arguments as to who is to buy the next round increase as the square of the number involved.)

Lancia Integrales. Second car I ever owned
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
