Originally posted by Mr Pee View PostA phrase that sets my teeth on edge, and that we've heard way too much of from certain quarters recently:- "Israeli aggression", when the phrase should really be "Israeli defence."
Every nation has a right to defend itself; Obama's observations was thus a mere statement of the b**d**g obvious. The Israelis have a nation state. The Palestinians do not. I do not condone aggression towards either from either or indeed from anywhere else. That said, Gaza is hardly what anyone is his/her right mind would call a level playing field (although it might well turn into a levelled one if aggression continues to escalate).
