(I don't mind youngsters who study being called "students" nearly as much! Why "pupils" in the first place? Because teachers have to keep their eyes on them all the time?)

I do a voluntary job once a week at a quite well known institution, and rather enjoy teasing the Human Resources Manager by asking him " How are things in Personnel ? "
