I have always assumed this is a fault of predictive text

My father watches the news, endlessly, he's 95.

I have been looking after him, so I have had to suffer This hour.

      The news this hour is......I
Well it seems to be the same as the news that hour.

We had a Latin teacher at school, whose nickname was Plumbum, on account of his ponderous delivery.

There's one Latin word the meaning of which I've never forgotten thanks to our teacher who said, 'Remember, the burden is a0lways on us'.

I was on the AllMusic site and when the mouse pointer went over the CD's cover image a pop-up message told me "click to embiggen". I'm not in principle against neologisms. Even if I don't much like them I can often see why they exist. I can see no reason for "embiggen".

A distinct flavour of Trumpism about it.

Is that like being in the pasty shop and asking for one of ‘embiggens?

Another example of someone who bigs himself up.

Apparently comes from The Simpsons and was invented in 1996.

I don’t know if it has come up before on this thread but ‘reimagine’ really annoys me.
